A MAZE. / Berlin 2020 - 9th International Playful Media Festival

About

A MAZE. established in 2008 is an international label in the field of independent and alternative games, playful media and games culture. Interdisciplinary, game-centered events and productions transcending media channels and cultures are the signature feature of A MAZE. Our portfolio includes the production of festivals, exhibitions, conferences, workshops, game showcases, game jams, artist in residence programs and a magazine.

A MAZE. represents the current state of artistic and experimental game design, alternative games and interactive digital arts. With the pop-up events and appearances in different creative scenes including in Croatia, Romania, Palestine, Russia, South Africa we are the cultural ambassador of artistic game development and underground games culture. Since 2012 A MAZE./ Berlin brings together independent game developers, digital creatives and game enthusiasts from all over the world to celebrate three days of talks, exhibitions and workshops.

The whole festival will be online, virtual and remote. It will happen on many different platforms at the same time to embrace the international community and the highly creative power of each individual game maker and world builder from around the globe. Now we can be even more international and better connected than ever before. Now is an amazing chance... to create a better presence for developers and event makers.
